How creativity improves mental health

Doing creative activities help us reach a state of flow. The state of flow is when brainwaves slow down, where original thoughts are better able to form. Pleasure, satisfaction-inducing chemicals are released.

Flow is also achieved during meditation, mindfulness and yoga. This state of mine helps you find peace, calm and happiness by blocking out external stimuli.
