Getting help for bullying

What is bullying?

If someone physically/ verbally hurts you, it can be a one-off or sustained incident. It can also happen to anyone.
Specific types of bullying:
1. Homophobic
2. Racist
3. Religious
4. Sizeist
5. Sexist
6. Cyberbullying
7. Bullying because someone is different

Getting help if the bullying is in school:

1.

Talk to your parents/ carers/ teacher

2.

If you don't feel comfortable talking to the teacher, you can see the school counsellor, welfare officer/ nurse

3.

Ask a friend to help you talk to the teacher

4.

In extreme cases, consider changing the environment/ schools

Getting help if the bullying is outside school:

1.

Talk to your parents/ carers/ close relatives

2.

Youth workers and leaders may be able to help too

Getting help if the bullying is online:

1.

Tell a trusted adult

2.

Report the abusive post on the social media platform

3.

Keep reporting the bullying until it stops - no one deserves to be bullied
