Singaporeans are amongst the most sleep-deprived worldwide. Not sleeping enough and not sleeping well is not okay. Chronic sleep deprivation will significantly affect your health, work performance, safety and general sense of wellbeing.

Consequences of inadequate sleep

Sleep deprivation can:
• Lead to accidents
• Slow you down
• Lead to serious health problems
• Impair sex drive
• Lead to clinical depression
• Age your skin
• Make you unfocused and shorten your attention span
• Lead to weight gain
• Increase risk of death
• Affect our judgement, discrimination and conceptualisation ability
