Multitasking

Multitasking can leave you less focused and efficient than you may think. When multitasking, your mind needs to adjust to a shift in focus and you're more prone to losing your train of thought.
Multitasking can work when you do a task which requires focus while doing another task that is mainly done on ‘auto-pilot'.

Alternatives to multitasking

Utilise ‘chunking' - setting aside chunks of time to focus on one specific task, while minimising interruptions and grouping similar tasks together

Pare down your schedule, cut off some of the commitments that are not absolutely necessary
