Talking to your family about how you are feeling

If you are struggling with something in your life, like a situation at school, or with how you are feeling, you may find it helpful to talk to your family. You could also:
1. Pick a good moment
2. Find an activity you both enjoy
3. Take your time
4. Ask for support
5. Try to keep calm

If your family doesn't understand how you feel

Sometimes, it can feel like your family doesn’t understand what you’re going through. This can make you feel like nobody understands you or what you’re going through. If this happens, remember it’s not your fault. It’s likely your family need a bit of time. If your family is not supportive, there are others that can help like your friends, helpline services or a teacher. There will be someone who will listen.
